Business Days Calculator
Count the working days between two dates, with your own working week and excluded dates.
Date range
Weekdays are Monday to Friday by default. Public holidays are not built in.
Add holidays or days off yourself; Ticklora does not guess local public holidays.
Non-working days are the days outside your working week plus any excluded dates that fall on a working day.
How to use this calculator
- 1
Pick the date range. The order does not matter.
- 2
Choose the working week. Monday to Friday is selected; change it for other schedules, such as Sunday to Thursday.
- 3
Set the edges and exclusions. Choose whether the start and end dates count, and add any holidays you want skipped.
Example
Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 30, 2026, counting both ends, is 10 working days.
If the start date is left uncounted it is 9, and if October 26 is also excluded it is 8.
How it is calculated
The tool counts every calendar day in the range that falls on a selected working weekday, then removes any excluded dates that land on one of those weekdays. Excluding a Saturday when only Monday to Friday count changes nothing.
Start and end dates. By default the end date counts and the start date does not, which matches how the Date Difference Calculator counts days. Mon 19 to Fri 23 October therefore gives 4 working days; tick “Count the start date” to get 5.
This is a weekday calculator, not a holiday calendar. Public holidays differ by country, region and employer, so enter the dates that apply to you under excluded dates.
Questions
Can I use a different working week?
Yes. Tick any combination of weekdays, for example Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Saturday.
