Example
Born May 15, 1990, on October 20, 2026: 36 years, 5 months, 5 days — 13,307 days in total.
The next birthday is May 15, 2027 — 207 days later, when the person turns 37.
How it is calculated
The calculator counts whole years first, then whole months, then the remaining days. Total days are the exact number of calendar days between the two dates, so leap days are included and no time zone or daylight saving shift can change the answer.
February 29 birthdays. In years without a February 29, the birthday is treated as February 28. Someone born on February 29, 2000 turns 1 on February 28, 2001, and the next birthday is shown as February 28 until the next leap year. Some legal systems use March 1 instead, so check the rule that applies to you if the exact day matters.
If the “Age on” date comes before the date of birth, the tool asks you to correct it instead of showing a negative age.
Questions
Can I find someone’s age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change “Age on” to any date from year 1 to 9999. For a future date the result is the age the person will be on that day.
